It's a feature, not beer. :)
The dialog stays open while the match is in progress, so if your opponent
disagrees with the values, changes them and sends the match request back,
the still opened dialog is reused. The dialog closes when the match starts
or the request was refused or failed because of already playing or not open.
Before, when negotiating the match conditions, you got a new dialog over and
over for each new suggested setup, which I found somewhat annoying. Doing
the negotiation within one dialog seems more convinient. This is how KGS
works, and it inspired me. :)

Still, support for singlegame-false would be useful. And I think it's not

I simply like those tree displays, that's the best reason for implementing a
new gGo feature. :)
