Peter, I can't help test out your tree display as I'm on a Mac. But 
may I ask a gGo question?

I'm using the Mac version of gGo (v.0.4.3), and it frequently crashes 
on me just as I begin a game, right after I "say" hello to my 
opponent and make my first or second move. I'm on an iMac G4 with OS 
10.2.7
