I can't see any difference in the two videos. What does this mean? Are you not
able to simulate that which you want to try and do with a camera?

I agree.
Steven and I have placed a couple of (big) animated gifs on our web site,
under Miscellaneous ==> Star motion 1 and Star motion 2.
