I had not forgotten him, but I left him out because there is little evidence
that he supported V2 after his ascention to the throne, but rather the
opposite. Allegorically he could have represented Peters attempt at resistance
in his heart, near the fire, which fear submerged. JP 1 may have been murderd
when the people surrounding Peter threatened him.
Keep in mind as you analyse this, my personal approach to time, wherein Jesus
feels in his passion every single barb of every sin of every man up until today
and beyond to the consumation of the world. He paid for all sin, and the
offering by the majority is rejected.
This is bound up in the doctrine of the eternal sacrifice, the daily sacrifice
of the mass, wherein the priest by his "magical" words causes God to bring
Calvary and the cross with Jesus hanging there on into the present time altar
in every time and every altar, in the hidden unbloody manner called
transubstantiation. Take careful reading of Daniel. which Jesus specifically
asked us to do.
Philip.

Just wondering what John Paul I did in his one month pontificate to incur the
title of non-pope?
Robert
…….., it is entirely possible that the three last popes counting this current
encumbent, represents the three times denial of Peter. Even though Peter failed
thrice, Jesus still accepted him as Peter. Hence you are correct. It would be a
brave man or a fool who takes it upon himself to declare the see vacant, as
many appear to do.
Philip
