Jack, as the road to salvation is narrow and few are the ones finding it, the fact of a religion being called a cult, wouldnt in itself put me off, however I understand the Christadelphians dont belive in the pre-existance of Christ, even though Christ said, "before Abraham I was", they also dont belive in the Devil as a literal being, also I dont agree with thier views on the Literal Nation of Israel. Having said that, I belive you can find a great deal of truth in lots of Biblical religions, truth is truth where ever it is found, in fact Satan uses truth to attract people to his lie. I would be interested to hear in inacuracies of the article posted, but the fact it comes from somebody in a less than perfect religion means nothing to me as Ive yet to find a religion I do think has got it all right, but Iam not prepared to dismiss the whole word of God on that fact. The story of Lazurus and the rich man is not a parable. All other parables do not mention the names of people and can therefore can be allegorical. However however both Lazurus and Abraham are mentioned by name. So if this description of hell is wrong what does that make Jesus? Jack Now, this article by Steven Cox is about the best explaination of the parable Ive seen, certainly shows how much there is to Jesus parables rather than the simple stories they seem to be.
