Neville is correct, but all need to know that I usually use 24 as the figure 
close enough in all my discussions .,  even for the moon..   grin. Its always 
running late..

  I had a quick look. You need to change "23 hours 56 minutes for the sun" to 
"23 hours 56 minutes for the stars." This is what is termed a "sidereal" day. 
The Sun averages 24 hours per day over the year.
