To go along with Robert a verse that often gets overlooked or at least is not
thought about very much is James 3:15: This wisdom descendeth not from above,
but is earthly, sensual, devilish. ( some translations uses demonic)
The point being that regardless of anyone?s stance on "demon possession"
there are a lot of folk who exhibit devilish/deomonic
wisdom.....................Now, what is the difference and which one is worse?

??The Bible does indeed mention "false signs and wonders" Notice that the
word of contradiction is "false".. This says that these are false signs and
wonders, meaning not true supernatural events. The devil has no power to work
true miracles. He can make great signs and wonders, but these if carefully
examined are clever illusions, if not dillusions.

Scripture is quite clear about the fact that what the Pharoah's magicians did
was clever trickery, and not true miracles as was done by God through Moses.
Yet for the spiritually blind, the apparent duplication was equal to the power
of God.

This is why when accused of the Devil, Jesus answered them. 'If you do not
believe me then believe the works that I do' This statement would have no
valueor meaning if the devil could likewise perform such miracles. Jesus who
knew everything, was saying as much. I have listed below a detail of what devil
can and cannot do.
  Speaking of the Devil?
Many people misunderstand demonic possessions, as taught by the Church. It?s
worth clarifying.

  Does the Devil really exist?
To judge from Catholic homilies in the modChurch, the devil either doesn?t
exist or isn?t worth discussing. Which, of course, is part of Satan?s subtle
plan ? to convince the world he doesn?t exist. Abortion and artificial
contraception are other topics that never make it to the Sunday soap box.
In the trad Church, the devil exists w/o question. Just observe the rotten
fruits of his work in the world around us.

How can the Devil possess a human soul?
It?s the body that?s possessed, never the soul. Think of the driver ? the
soul - of a car ? the body ? being pushed aside by a car-jacker ? the devil.
The devil/demons then operate the car while the soul becomes a passenger.
Exorcising the demons allows the driver

  How can God allow possession?
The devil can never possess a body without the permission or desire of the
soul. This can be obvious and explicit, as in devil worship, or indirect, by
belief in the occult and black magic. The demons only can enter by an act of
the person?s will.

How can a mental disorder be distinguished from possession?
Only priestly exorcists are qualified, and they are not always successful.
(According to books on exorcism I have read, the demons spout curses and
obscenities about the exorcist, saints, angels, especially Christ?. Everyone
is damned, except for one person ? Mary. Jesus will not permit His mother?s
name to be profaned ? about her there is only silence.)
  ?..

The amount of real power amounting to gigawatts, rather than megawatts
expended during those few minutes of the event greatly surpassed that of the
dividing of the sea for Moses and his followers. Only the stopping of the sun
(the entire cosmos) in our Bible could surpass it for sheer power.
It should be noted that the solar miracle was local to Portugal. Like
Joshua?s long day, its motion was demontrated to be dependent on the Father:
?My Father sends the Sun to shine on the just and the unjust?. As there were
many secular unbelievers who were witnesses , it should be of special interest
to ALL geocentrists

What the devils can and cannot do

Basically, they cannot know what we are thinking, but can observe our
actions, which reveal our thoughts.

Perhaps the greatest ally of Satan is human pride, as first shown in Eden,
and repeated endlessly since.
What a great mistake to think we can outwit this being of pure intelligence
who was once the greatest of all the angels ? the Light-bearer, without divine
assistance.
  What fools these mortals be!

  Robert
