OK Philip, so you are an evolutionist as well as a Roman Catholic! I'll remember that in future. Jack L As usual you irrationally jumped to conclusions Jack. Read all I said and you will see I mentioned twice the word "revelation".. but today I said : "And without revelation, that is what the idea of a God is equivalent to.. A fairytale fantasy. " My problem with you in this thread and others, is that you assume the authority to yourself against all others, not just Catholics mind, but all others, to have the power of the Spirit to dispense revelation. I personally cannot be an evolutionist because of the grace of revelation to me from a source that you reject. I do not force that revelation on you or anyone else.. I would sin to do so. Yet you judge me. I feel sad for you. Hence I repeat: That without personal revelation, the idea of a God is equivalent to a fairytale fantasy. And I safely say that you will have great difficulty in finding scripture that says otherwise, that isn't contradicted in the same book. I likewise might repeat what I said to Paul . Whilst time dilation and molecular contraction is a nice theory, at least more rational than a spirit, it is nonethe less no more objective than a fantasy fairy tale. The scientist, having once been a Bible scholar, picked up a handful of dust, at which point God said, "No-no, you must play fair, you will have to make your own dust first!" Jack L Not scientific Jack. You have no imagination .. From ashes to ashes and from dust to dust...Is a biblical statement of evolution. The first dust is the final dust that is just a part of a continuous cyclic loop in time.. A quite rational philosophy and it does not actually exclude God.. But it is not necessary to include Him either. From a purely physical scientific point of view it is far more sensible that to dream up a fantasy of an uncreated being. And without revelation, that is what the idea of a God is equivalent to.. A fairytale fantasy.
