two years ago camping during deer season at rebels cove north of
kirksville, mo we had similar conditions with the addition of 50-60 mph
winds all night. the warmest part of the evening was when i got to crawl
into my giant down polar bag for the night. it was cooood. everything
froze. i kept thinking of the climbers that do denali and everest climbs
in the freezing cold.
that much cold makes everything just a little bit harder to deal with.
