I had mine packed in my carry on luggage and no one said anthing about
it. On the trip down, they didn't exclude the operation of GPS units
on their announcements about electronics so I had it turned on for
part of the flight. Coming back, the announcement said you couldn't
operate GPS units, so I left it turned off.
