- Yes I can tell you from experience long distance caches are a pain. I did a bunch in 2001 before there were rules against it and before caches were around long enough to start having problems or thinking of the consequences of being so far away. Doing it was a mistake - I ended up keeping them until I got DNFs then I shut them down. Long distance caches can also be caches that are many miles from the road. IMHO, caches like that need to be given more leeway than a city cache.
