- Great if they'll take your suggestion to model it after the DNR. I would think that they would want to make up their own policy, but one never knows. Got to get ready for bed now so I can get up at 4 to go caching. I suppose then we would all be in trouble. Bernie. showme69 wrote: - Out in my area, it's like pulling teeth. At least with a statewide policy, it would be more like the state parks. Right now, some Conservation Area managers are great like the one you deal with. But others are completely against caching and won't allow it on their areas. With an official policy, the bad ones wouldn't have a choice. They'd have to approve it if we follow the guidelinesoutlined in the policy. I would hate to see a state wide policy be enforced. The manager in my area is like gold. We hide them and then we tell him where it is and he approves it. I wasn't going to let him scare me off, so I have been diligently resubmitting the permit application each month since hiding it back in October. Today, I received a letter from the manager stating he isextending my permit period to three months. Yippeeee. Baby steps, I keep telling myself. Has anyone contacted the Conservation Commission directly to encourage them to develop astatewide geocaching policy or has everyone just been dealing only with areamanagers?
