Bookmarks, now why did I think of that? I might have to keep that in mind for
signature item potential. I was going to make button pins but was having
issues craming what I wanted onto a pin. But I could easily print and laminate
bookmarks and have more room to play with what I wanted to include. My
signature item creating has been put on hold till after the first ofthe year
anyways.

OK. Since y'all are mentioning books so much, I figure I need to throw
in this link from my ex: http://bookcrossing.com/friend/msrocketgal
It is a little like "where's George" only with books. Sounds pretty neat.
I think the smaller kids go for the McToys. Mine is just about 11 and
his tastes are in transition. He always perks up when he sees a pen
knife, foreign coins or some such thing as that. He also likes things
like Yu Gi Oh trading cards, but they need to be protected from
moisture. And I have already had a bad experience with the stuffed
McToys. I opened a tupperware container and had an immediate allergic
reaction to the mold / mildew that was on several of the stuffed toys.
They had leopard spots where they didn't originally :-(
I am content to let my boy do the trading, and lately he has not found
much to trade. I don't think I have anything I am looking for. Some one
mentioned signature items, and sometimes those are nice to pick up.
Something unique, not necessarily valuable. On the other hand, if you
follow the same bunch of people around, the same "signature item" in all
of them isn't going to do much for me.
With all the mention of books, I would think book marks would be popular.
