Hi all, we are now in Labrador. Went geocaching yesterday and seen a bunch of whales real close to shore. Today we drove up to Red Bay and watched a couple more. Red Bay feels like it is the end of the world. No more black top roads beyond that. Only gravel clear up to Goose Bay. Over in NFLD I saw a bear and many moose. A sign on the Canada Hwy said that last year there were 660 moose/vehicle colisions. Last night we paid $1.18 Canadian/liter for diesel. I don't even want to know how much that is per gallon US. The ice bergs are so neat. As I'm typing this in my RV, I can see ice bergs when looking out the window. I can't say it enough how friendly the people are here in Labrador and NFLD. Yesterday when I fueld up, the gas station owner told me I could just plug in at his building if I can't find a camground. He does not lock any door except his liquer store. Even his automotive business garage never gets locked. A total stranger at the camground gave me his home phone number in case I needed help with anything. Another camper took us over to see his 1 million dolar fishing boat. He gave us some fresh cod. The dialect is tough to understand sometimes. Today (7/1) it was 46 Degrees F. One lady at the dollar store jokingly (I think)told us that their summer was last week. That's all for now. Bernie --
