My pleasure and any time. it was fun trying to find these caches again.

The county parks people are very impressed with the work that rich is doing with them. The ranger was very enthusiastic about geocaching and said that he knew of many places in the parks that would be interesting to visit but nobody but the rangers know where these places are. Now, with the GPS system he can gather the location information and share them with others so they can visit these really neat places too! They have really taken to the geocaching idea and think it is a giant plus for the park system. Thanks Rich.

This is just a quick note to thank Glenn for taking the time to accompany me to Carondelet Cache this morning, where I was finally able to log it legit. Snackbar, the owner, was going to close it immediately, but was kind enough to leave it open through this weekend so I could have a second chance at it. I hope it gets moved now.
Glenn and I then went out to Greensfelder, where I picked up Maddog's Mini and Orienteering. We also tried the first couple of waypoints on Have GPS - Will Travel, but both got a lesson in changing coordinate systems, and how devious they (and those who force us to change them) can be.

We did have a Park Policeman stop to say hi, and to introduce himself - and show us his new GPS unit. He's taken up the sport, and told us about how the County Parks Dept. is embracing geocaching as something they want to promote and advance. We both thought that was great news for the sport in the St. Louis area.

Thanks again Glenn. I had a great time.
