While on active duty at Grand Forks AFB in North Dakota (a B52 base) a tank
pylon on the wing cracked in the cold (due to bad specs) An airman way trapped
beneath a fuel tank and had to have both legs amputated.
Later, he went sue the gov't. Of course, before you sue them, you have to get
their permission to sue them first. Upon hearing the details of the case,
they deny the suit. They said he didn't have a leg to stand on.
