Chris, sorry you feel this way.. There is a professional way to handle things
and I think that RGS is doing that. You can't expect to just waltz in here and
have everyone send you all their cache information. There has been a lot of
work put into this and I think it is best left in the hands of those who have
met with and worked with St. Louis County Parks. Everyone must obtain
permission but sometimes we take it for granted that if someone else has placed
a cache there, then its OK for me to do it. Rich has done nothing but given all
his time to our hobby so that benefit. The relations he and others have built
with various authorities has been phenomenal.

Its a shame that you feel this way. Don't make a rash decision. If you feel
like you want to participate why not ask instead of telling everyone to send
you there information. There was nothing personal in any of the replies. You
need to grow up a little and realize that you are not dealing with a clubhouse
bunch. We are professionals who work in all walks of life. We have families and
give time and effort to the promotion of this hobby/sport. No one makes money.
Several donate hours of time helping newbies with the basics, maintaining a
website, putting in hours of planning and teaching. The list goes on and on..

Offended or not you need to realize that there is a right way to approach
situations and a wrong way.

If you still want to leave SLAGA then thats fine. I can tell you that you
won't find a better group of people anywhere. When you start working in the
real world you will understand what it takes to balance a job, hobby and your
family all at the same time.

I think you owe Rich an apology.

Ok, I'm sick and very tired of being told of what to do here. I'm leaving
SLAGA. I'm just trying to avoid any misconceptions (with terrorist threats and
bomb threats) Rich is going to try and make money off something that is
publicly available. I think this is wrong...plus as an added bonus, I'd
distribute the Annual St. Louis Geocaching Publication free of charge. You've
lost a member plus his prospective funding for SLAGA. And for an organization
that's public, you're sure selective.
