Night sledding is about all I have done. There's always a firepit with wood.
I have never had the hill be to slick to get back up though. I took my  kids
out and dropped them off there yesterday afternoon, and although I am not a
professional crowd estimator but there had to be at least 500+ people out
there sledding. They even had a bed mattress that looked the funnest to
slide down on.

I'd say day or night would be fine
