Not sledding but golfing.
Back in the late 80's in a company golf league I got my one and only hole in
one on the North Shore hole number 7, 176 yards with a 7 iron, ball just barley
dropped into the hole, I though it had stopped and had turned away when my
partner said that my ball just disappeared. I turned around to look and the
guys on the next tee where jumping up and down and hollering. I think that
they enjoyed it more than me, but of course I did not see it happen. A lot of
beers were bought for me that night and I don't even remember how I got home
all the way to South County, drove myself of course. The had to get up and go
to work the next day. Got my name in the paper and a certificate from the
National Hole in One Organization.
Big deal, not worth squat now, I'd trade it for one of those 5000 find awards
from SLAGA.

That was North Shore Country Club. I was there many times. Left a little
blood too.
Island-Dave the slacker - since 2001 and still below 500

Night sledding..... I remember doing that up at the old golf course that
was on Riverview near Chain of Rocks bridge. The real suicide bunch went
down that long steep hill on a car hood from the junk yard. Pile about 6
guys on one of those and head down the slope. You didn't even have to
bring one. After the guys before you abandon it to take one of them to
the hospital with a broken arm, it was there for the next intrepid crew.
You just had to wipe off the blood from the previous crew.
