- It really depends on how you do the cache. You don't even have to climb a hill if you do it right. However, no one has done it without the "Hill"... I would say that you should not do it if it rains more than a sprinkle. It's not worth it to have someone slip on the "Hill." You definitely don't want to do it if the ground is frozen!
