I waited for a response because the cache page on geocaching.com said
that I need to email him and after he responds, that I can then log the
cache.

I'm curious why you felt you needed to get a response back before
logging
it. When people email me a response, I simply check to make sure it
is
right. I do not routinely respond to them unless they ask a question,
get
it wrong, or there is some need to respond. If people are expecting a
response, maybe I should start telling them it is right. But then
again, I
think people should not expect a response. Usually when I send the
answer,
I do not get a reply from the owner. I've seen several (I just did
several
in KS on the way to CO) where they have a certificate with a password
you
have to enter. Maybe I need to rethink if I respond.

This should really make it interesting. I think it is a good ideal
though. I was down in Cozumel a while a go, and the only cache on the
island was a virtual cache. I had to find a statue called the
monumente
alabanderos and email the cache creator and answer a question about
the
statue. I emailed him and told him, but I never got a response back.
