[GeoStL] Re: Rechargeable batteries

They have 2800's now. However, I have gone to the coppertop rechargeables that
are 2000 mAh NiMh for my cameras. They don't last quite as long as the 2650's
or 2800's but they have a long shelf life. I can store them at room temp and
they will last for months with a full charge.

For the field, I swap 2650's out in the GPS. I have 3 fully charged sets. One
in the GPS and two in a pill bottle. This is very sufficient for a weekend of
hard caching.

Hope this helps!

What is the latest and greatest in rechargeable batteries?

I've been using the basic Energizer 2500mah nimh batteries and most of them
are nearing end of life. I mostly use them in the GPSr and digital cameras.

  TIA
