I just tried to change the cache type but the cache type is grayed out and
thus I am unable to change it.

Intereresting.  I wonder why the owner would be prohibited from this kind
of update?

Yes - but only if you read it.  Normally I just set up a pocket query
specifying what I'm planning on looking for (hence the "traditional" being
germane) and then plugging that into the GPS.  I do not work with paper
printouts - whats on the query goes into the GPS.

From the tone of your reply I gather there are a lot of similar caches out
there with this problem.  Definite problem.
