Poison ivy just kinda goes with being out in the woods around the midwest at this time year. Of the last few hundred of caches that I have done since things have greened up at least a third have had poison ivy or stinging nettles either near them or along the way to the cache. These things are like ticks and mosquitoes, they are there and you deal with them. Now if we could just figure out what to do with thorney rose bushes, thorney gooseberry bushes, and thorney black locust.

I discovered, the hard way, that one of the caches I hid Fri is guarded by
poison ivy. Need some advice. This was a great hiding spot, other than the
poison stuff. Do I move the cache or post a warning?
