- Guess I was just in too big a hurry. The files finally showed up. -=Russ=- -----Original Message----- From: geocaching-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:geocaching-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Glenn Sent: Saturday, March 29, 2003 10:23 AM To: geocaching@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [GeoStL] Re: Pocket Queries? - I just got my .loc files from GC.com There is a way to do "custom queries" anytime, on demand. But that info will cost extra. Send payment directly to me. BUT since it is Saturday, it is a free info day!! I have been using a program called Cache Harvester avail. here: http://www.texasgeocaching.com/tools.asp There are also several other neat tools here too. Cache Harvester will let you search the GC.com database just about like the "find" or pocket queries from GC.com but you can do them on demand. I like this one. It will deliver to you the list of caches you request. After that you can SAVE them in several formats. G7toWin CVS GPX/Easygps Street Atlas Mapsourse PCX5 or send them to the GPS. I guess you could then read the GPX file into your PDA software if will read any of these formats. The program WATCHER will do searches on a GPX file. The TerraClient is a cool satellite picture viewer Some USEFUL GEO DOCUMENTS are there and a link to sign up for the instant "new Cache" notification thing. There is also a Cache Attribute Tool that is neat if ya like that kind of thing. If you live in Texas, there are also some specific Texas tools for generating the Logo Code. **Glenn At 08:22 AM 3/29/2003 -0600, you wrote: - If just once a day, then maybe I just haven't hit the right time.
