I think the thread went something like this:

Chris,

That's wonderful. So somewhere along the way you'll encounter chemistry. If
you ever need some help let me know. That's my favorite subject to tutor.
Every so often I think about how to incorporate the periodic table into a
cache, but I'm afraid people might hate it more than math!

Now that's an idea Susan! Give it a try. There are several chemists around
who I am sure would appreciate it. And since we have had to have math
lessons, why not throw in science (much more fun!) too!

I know this guy who has a table of elements at home. Literally. He has
displayed on a table his collection of small samples of most of the
different elements.

Laura, that is so cool. Wow, I can't believe I am getting positive
responses to this idea. Well, that means I better get to work.

BTW, at Laumeier Park, the latest temp display is by a sculptor who bases a
lot of his works on chemical formulas and scientific stuff. I haven't had a
chance to check it out yet.

That's cool. I saw a chart at the Science Center that had pictures of
items made from the different elements, but never seen a collection of the
elements. :)
