This was passed along via a home school group.
While not specifically Geocaching, I still thought it appropriate for here.

ParkPalooza is September 27 & 28
Celebrate National Public Lands Day at ParkPalooza, a
two-day interactive event on the grounds of the Gateway Arch on September 27
and 28, 2008. This certified National Park Service Centennial event will
introduce children to the opportunities for fun, education, and recreation that
exist in parks.
Ten interactive venues will be set up on the park's
grounds. Venues will be staffed by NPS rangers from our park and other park
sites. In addition, state and local agencies such as Department of Conservation
and Department of Natural Resources and area commercial institutions and
organizations will assist with the event by providing volunteers and services.
ParkPalooza is designed to be a FREE annual event and
one that can also be replicated by other parks. Some of the featured activities
include:
a.. Rock climbing wall and simulated archeology dig
b.. Setting up campsites and learning how to pack a
backpack
c.. Historic character portrayals and living history
demonstrations
d.. Music and dance, art experiences, and hands-on
craft activities
e.. Reel casting, boat simulator, nature walks,
geocaching, biking
For more detailed information and updates, please check
the site regularly.
Seasonal Time and Activity Changes
Please be aware that the Gateway Arch Riverfront runs

of September:

Sept. 3rd.
b.. Bike Rentals are Friday, Saturday, Sunday 10:00
am - 7:00 pm.
c.. "Docktails" before Dinner Cruises stops after
Labor Day Weekend.
d.. Arch View Cafe hours change based on Riverboat

Please note that most of our activities are open to the
public year round and that extended hours and activities will return during
Memorial Day 2009.
Upcoming Labor Day Weekend Fun
Looking for something fun to do during Labor Day
Weekend? Remeber that the Gateway Arch Riverfront is only a "One Tank Trip" for
the majority of visitors. If you need help figuring out all there is to do,
then make sure you visit our Activities Web page and plan a day of fun with us
over the holiday!
Finally, the 2008 State Farm Arch Rivalry marks the
fourth year of the schools' Labor Day weekend series in St. Louis. Last year,
Mizzou held on for a thrilling 40-34 win. It was victory No. 1 in a season that
saw the Tigers capture the Big 12 North, win the Cotton Bowl, and finish 12-2.
Illinois had its own season to remember. The Illini recorded an impressive nine
wins, beat top ranked Ohio State in Columbus, and earned a trip to the Rose
Bowl.
