Your "point and shoot" that goes everywhere with you in your pocket and your
purse.
I HAD a 5 mp Sony Cyber shot DSC P100 --but it was missing "Accident
Insurance".
I LOVED this camera. It's replacement, the P200 is expensive for what it is,
isn't easily found and other lower end Sony's all take AA batteries. I don't
want to mess with batteries. The lithium battery in the old one lasted forever.
(Of course it's not compatible with anything currently on the market).
I looked at the newest Sony Cyber Shots and the zoom controls are on the top
and stick out just enough that I can easily imagine it being ripped off. The
Sony T series are the "Credit card" cameras and I think I REALLY like those
(the smallest is a 7.2) but would love to hear from someone who has before I
spend that kind of cash.
I don't want a digital slr; my "real" one works just fine.
Of course the media cards for the old camera won't work with anything new, nor
will the card readers, batteries etc. It's like replacing cell phones (which
we HAVE "Accident" insurance for ... ).
What are your favorites? What features do you love or can't live without? I
like the digital zoom and editing features on the cameras. The new Sony's we
looked at aren't as intuitive as the old one, but could work well enough. Do
you have other favorite brands and features?
Nancy
