I don't think so.  I think they truly investigate stuff.  It's been around for 
a good while.  Plus don't they give sources?  Just MHO.

I am curious about what makes snopes such a reliable source? Does anyone know
how the status of true or false is determined? Is it like Wikipedia where any
Tom, Dick or Harry can post information?
