The most bizarre thing happened yesterday. I was in Fenton loading my car with
items to take to the new place when I heard a car barreling VERY FAST down the
street and swerving to and fro on the grass/sidewalk. As I watched it almost
hit my neighbor as she was cutting her grass then the car came up on my
property and hit the mailbox and pole which flew 20 feet into the air. I
flinched, ducked and turned away, but as I turned my foot rolled and I heard it
crack and felt it tear. The car proceeded past and hit a car further up the
street and another mailbox. It did not stop or slow for any of the above.
Another neighbor got in their car and followed. The person as it turned out was
an 18-19 y/o female who was impaired (drugs) and had driven to her home in the
subdivision and plowing into the garage door as she came to a stop. The police
were called and she was hauled away in handcuffs. Bottom line ... mailbox
destroyed, bone broken in foot leaving
me in a boot and using crutches! Won't be geocaching nor hiding any caches for
a while.
