Not sure of the time frame for this equipment, but I think the Radio Shack
Model II (TRS-80 Model II, maybe better known by some as Trash-80, disappeared
about 1985 or before.

My first computer was a Radio Shack Color Computer in 1981, a 16k computer
(yes, I said k, not, meg, not gig) (connected to TV) , with tape recorder
for file storage, and chess game for $895. Upgraded later to 32k, then 64k (as
a piggy back 32k add on to the 32k chips), then upgraded chiclet keyboard with
more modern style, they up grade to B&W monitor output and dot matrix printers.
Printers were connected to the RS-232 serial ports via a black-box converter
for RS-232 serial to Centronics printer port. Finally upgraded to 5.25 in
floppy for file storage. Had 4 of the machines at one time, one for me at
home, one for each on two children at college, and one at work to run company
bowling league stats and my personal word processing before days of company
furnished computer. Still have one of them with disk drive and B&W monitor.

I remember a local St. Louis guy ran a BBS in the 1980's on a Radio Shack Model
I with two 8" floppies hooked to it to run his BBS . It was St. Louis Radio
Shack SIG (Special Interest Group) BBS (Bulletin Board Service).
