- Mike is correct (both Mikes actually), the Blue line is your best. Here is a printable map of all the lines, CTA, RTA, METRA lines: http://www.rtachicago.com/downloads/RTA_Train_Connections.pdf. I used to take the Metra from the South side to Union Station everyday to work and it was great. Take a minute to look around the station. It has lots of history and is a neat old building. You won't be able to pick up the Blue line at Union Station. You will have to walk into downtown to do that. If you have any questions, you can ask at Union Station. They have (used to have) information kiosk to help tourist get around. Have fun, downtown Chicago is so neat. I used to take the train to Chi-town all the time and traveled on the "EL" since I didn't have a car. A few blocks east of Union Station is the "EL" (elevated train) or the subway whatever you want to call it! To get to Ohare International you have to take the "BLUE" line north! I can't remember off hand the street it is located off of, but it is underground in that area! Download a CTA map and look for the BLUE line!!! Hope that helps you! I have been looking at our options to get from Union Station to O'Hare. I think the best option is CTA. Anybody have personal experience with this? Input would be appreciated. > > > > Arlene > > _________________________________________________________________ > The New Busy think 9 to 5 is a cute idea.
