Hi Arlene,
It's been before geocaching, lol, but a few years ago I took Harley on a day
trip to Chicago. We took Amtrak from Springfield IL to Chi Union station
and then used CTA to travel the tourist sites downtown, then out to Wrigley
field, then back to Union station to catch the train home. Everything was
great and on time. The only problem was on the way to Chicago, the Amtak
train hit a cow! Good luck with your trip.
