[GeoStL] Mushroom/toadstool/?

 I went hiking in the woods today since it was a perfect fall day and my GPS is 
in the shop. I came across this huge "something" in the woods. I thought maybe 
someone could tell me what it was, should I have touched it and it's too late 
now, or what. It was growing in a small flat area out of the ground. And no, 
it's not Styrofoam!.
