I look for a zip code where I know there is a hotel near the highway.  The I 
look for nearby caches.  Or bring up a map of caches in the area then pan the 
map to find my way up or down an interstate.  I did that for a trip to 
Carbondale earlier this year and it seemed to work really well for me.
