Well -- there's your answer. 

National nonprofit incorporation for geocaching. Surely Jeremy is doing
something with those premium member fees.

X-amount extra for insurance/bail bondsman etc. A bit more if you've ever
fallen and broken something while caching, had to reimburse a bombsquad or
SAR team etc.  :+)

Yes they have insurance. The national orienteering group has a blanket
insurance that they use.
