Jim,
Down load the free trial. It will give you the feel for it. If I
remember they disable the trial a little by not downloading all the
maps (you will have holes) but it will give you an idea of how it
works. The maps are actually are downloaded from their site for the
internet retrieval. One of the nice features is that the maps are
downloaded automatically and stored thus if you have a laptop you can
view them even when not on line.
