[GeoStL] Re: Lost Cabin Cache (GC1060) at Pere Marquette SP in Illinois...

Jeff, I would definitely be interested in doing this cache with you, but
Friday evening is the absolute worst day of any week for me to be caching.
Also, that cache doesn't really look to me like it would be a very good idea
to hit this cache late afternoon of any day. Good luck with your 500th.
Bernie.

I should hit 500 real soon. I would love to celebrate with others if anybody
is willing and wanting. I have wanted to do Myotis' Lost Cabin Cache
(GC1060)for quite some time now. It is one of the oldest caches in the area
(not THE oldest...just one of the oldest) and from what I hear, it makes a
great milestone cache. I almost did it for #400. When I didn't, I made
myselfa promise to do it as number 500. Well, I am now ready to make the
journey. Since the "Magic Number 2" group hunt is scheduled for Sat, I would
like to get #500 before then if possible. I'm sure that Magic Number 2 is a
very worthy cache for 500, but I have really had my heart set on doing the
Lost Cabin cache. So I am planning on trying to tackle (unless some plans
change) the Lost Cabin cache on Friday late afternoon-early evening. I plan
on hitting the trail about 4:30 if I can make it there by that time. The
journey to the cache and back is a few ( 4?) miles long and I hope to be
finished before dark. Myotis has specified a particular route to follow to
log the cache, so we must follow his route &rules. Here are the parking
coords: N38 59.768 W90 30.951 -- Myotis has these for parking coords: N38
59.758 W90 30.904 Both sets of coords are basically in the same area. My
coordinates put you right next to an outhouse facility which may be closed,
but there is a parking lot there. Myotis coordinates take you to the
drivewayof a closed area right across the street from the parking lot. Any
and all cachers are welcome to join in the hike and the cache. Hope to see
you there! -Jeff, the Blue Bead Man ****************************************
