[GeoStL] Re: Group cache and ATTN: Glenn

Susan,

This could easily be a one day trip (a LONG one day if
you are coming from St. Louis)but still one day and I
have also seen many people camp down by the river so
camping is always a possibility. My FIL's cabin is
just down the river from the sites so we could
probably accomodate a few tents etc. also. If we do
get together a group cache I will place a few more
caches out in the area to make it worthwhile. As a
matter of fact I will be sending email today to the
Forest Service to see if it is ok to set a cache near
a very large cave in the area as well. The cave is NOT
gated off and many people still explore parts of it so
that is also a possibility.

GLENN: I have contacted the Forest Service on the
caches I set out. First I met a ranger coming out of
the very places I was going to set out the caches and
she had no objections to them and then I wrote and
received a reply from Nancy Feakes and she is also in
agreement that these are good caches with no problem
placement. So consider them approved by the NFS as
well.
