Was this a student who wrote the article?
I noticed that she stated that the carbon dating would be able to accurately
identify the age of the artifacts to within 50 years.
Carbon dating, which is a test of the break down of the carbon 14 atom, is
only accurate for up to 2000 years. Anything older than that has to rely on
other methods of dating.
