Thanks Dan .. not sure if it was "me" or "them" LOL We have taken out and replaced the batteries a few times, but haven't let it sit for a while without batteries. I also read a theory that it might be the internal battery and to "plug it in" for a while. Will try that later tonight. I know unsetting and resetting and telling it it is in a new position etc has not worked. It's just been rather "sluggish" the last month or so. When brand new it locked on very quickly and it also did real well in the car. Not seeing the same performance now and almost impossible to get or maintain lock in the car. And, it makes my husband darn nervous when I hang my arm out the window with an expensive piece of electronic equipment at the end of it. Something you might try is to take the batteries out of the GPS and leave them out for a while and then put them back in and fire it up. Hopefully it will think it is a new unit and reestablish satellite linkages. Not sure if that will help but it sure can't hurt Dan TKLNHL <sydstyr@xxxxxxxxxx> wrote: I can't get the Garmin site to load. What about anyone else? Ever since the TKL of the group fired up he GPSr on the airplane it's been acting odd especially having a longer than to be expected time acquiring satellites. It seems to think every time we turn it on it's in a new place. I've seen in the geocaching.com forums people with few similar problems -- and am working through all the suggestions. Meanwhile, I'm not getting any of the Garmin site to load. Anyone else? Nancy ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Do you Yahoo!?
