A new virus called NOVARG (also known as MyDoom) is now spreading via
e-mail, and several Nortel Networks employees' computers have already been
infected. E-mail filters have been put in place on Nortel Networks e-mail
servers to contain this virus; however, an unknown number of people have
received virus e-mail messages before filters were installed.

If you receive an e-mail with the any of the following subject lines:
"Hi", "Hello", "Test" or "Mail Delivery Test"
DO NOT OPEN THE ATTACHMENT.

Also, DO NOT OPEN THE ATTACHMENT if you receive an email that contains one
or more of the following three sentences:

"The message cannot be represented in 7-bit ASCII encoding and has been
sent as a binary attachment."
"The message contains Unicode characters and has been sent as a binary
attachment."
"Mail transaction failed. Partial message is available."

Should you receive a message as outlined above, please immediately delete
the email. Please note that the apparent sender address is being "spoofed"
and is not the person whose computer is infected.

If you have already received such an e-mail and opened the attachment, your
computer is likely infected.

Norton Anti-Virus Definitions for this virus are available.

As an extra precaution, please be very careful in the handling of any e-mail
attachments you receive. Do not open any suspicious or unexpected e-mail
attachments, even if they are from someone you know. If you are unsure of an
attachment's safety, check with the sender.
