There are many different types of benchmarks. Many of
the benchmarks are set local survey crews for towns,
parks, utilities and there are even temporary
benchmarks that are set. Some of them are set by NGS,
USGS, DoD, USCG, NPS, .... Geocaching.com recognizes
the NGS benchmarks I believe. This is just to name a
few. So you won't be able to log the find.
