- Something that is often violated by various geocaching  organizations is the DL Waypoint agreement, and in many cases unintentionally.

http://www.geocaching.com/waypoints/agreement.aspx

Kono has worked with the legal folks at groundspeak in the past and they have allowed us to continue to run the SLAGA  website so i think we have adquate permissions for what we are doing so far but,  if we were to work out a limited license to publish data (possibly PQ data) what kind of information would be beneficial for other groups like slaga or MoGeo to be able to publish. Most groups do not have access to the data like  kono has running the SLAGA site.

Some Ideas suggested  were:

  • upcoming events
  • newest caches
  • Archived caches
  • Member stats

It will probably have to be limited fields:
  • cache name
  • waypoint name
  • link
  • date
  • state

Again, we are just starting to explore such issue and  have not discussed the details officially with Groundspeak.  But please give me your wish lists, and we will see what we can work out.  I will submit all the ideas generated.
