- Barbara, I feel it would be better to concentrate on just Creve Coeur rather than spreading out over a couple counties. The more that show up in one place the better a showing we make as a club and probably get more done. If groups of 1 or 2 or whatever show up in different places the park people probably wouldn't even know that we were there. With nearly 160 "Active" members in SLAGA (a little less really, leaving out the out of towners and such) and just the few signed up on the CI-TO event page there are a lot of folks left over that may want to do something elsewhere closer to their homes. Maybe far South West and OR Waaay out in St Peters would be good alternate spots if anyone were so inclined. I think there would be enough peoples left over for those. I was surprised that with (up to) 160 members, the turnout for real *helpers* was as slim as it was last Saturday when RGS needed help working the Geocaching program for the Parks Department. No matter what the event, most people will have better things to do and you will not be able to please all. We have noticed, if you really want to boost attendance, offer a bunch of free food ( I like BBQ) and we will have trouble keeping up with the crowds! I think that is where we went wrong last Saturday. Geocachers like to eat :-) BTW: I wont be able to make to the event either. I have some caching to catch up on. actually, i'll be working or i'd be there.
