There was a terrible industrial fire and subsequent explosion at an
explosives plant in Libya. CNN said that the debris from the explosion
was shot so high in the air that some of it actually entered a
suborbital phase that took it over North America. Judging from the 45
degree angle of the impact it is clear that this is a benchmark from
that Libyan industrial park. I would contact the Libyan Consulate as
they will probably want to recover the benchmark.
