We had a problem like this. Check to make sure another device isn't using
that port. When I installed our Pocket PC it took over the port we use for the
GPS. All I had to do was uncheck that port on the PPC, then worked fine.

Jen, try reinstalling GSAK. I've had a problem with it before and that always
worked for me. Bernie.

I have changed nothing. We would have been out caching also today, if we
could have gotten GSAK to work.

I have rebooted the computer thought that would help, then checked my
computer to make sure COM1 was working, which it is, but I can't get GSAK to
download WPs.

I am a bit perturbed to say the least because we had planned all week to
cache but can't get GSAK to work this weekend like it always has in the past.

I don't even know what flashed your GPS firmware even means :-) So I know I
haven't done that.

I had forgoten about the 101 event. That is probably where everybody is.

Glad to know someone else is on the net today.

Another thought, have you recently flashed your GPS firmware? I did my
Magellan, and forgot that I had changed the COM settings to a higher setting in
GSAK. I then had to change the GPS unit setting up to the higher baud rate so
they both matched.

I use GSAK, but I don't know why you are having that issue. I guess I
will tell you like I tell my mom, when all else fails, turn off the computer
and start all over. Sometimes a fresh reboot works miracles.
