And that's exactly the point. There are shades of gray in *everything*.
There is no black/white 'right is right and wrong is wrong'. It's all
'relative'.

Would agree with the first part, but obviously logging the find is what
makes this guy 'feel better in the long run'.....regardless of what you or I
think. Given that he drove down to the location from Minnesota, apparently
has some sort of chronic medical condition that creates a need to wear knee
braces, and had to deal with that condition to climb a lengthy set of steps
to get to the 'spot', then a little 'moral relativism' seems perfectly
appropriate. This isn't some 10 yr old kid who needs to be taught life
lessons. For him, the 'getting there' wasn't fun in this case.....it was a
struggle. Of course, that assumes his medical condition isn't BS. And I'll
assume he's innocent unitl proven guilty on that one.

If he routinely used his medical condition as an excuse to log a find when
it was truly a DNF....even when the cache was only 50 steps from his car,
your point would be stronger. But we don't know that's the case.

Yep, email is not always conducive to optimal communication. And you've
explained you're opinion as well as can probably be done. We'll just have to
agree to disagree. IMO, there is room for 'moral relativism'. Doesn't mean I
think every time someone had an 'excuse' to log a DNF as a find that they
should be allowed to do so. But considering the circumstances of this one
instance, I don't think it would be unreasonable. And it sounds as though
Believer has taken a reasonable approach to making that decision.
