mostly they are ok.
yeah they have popups, but they do have a pro service.
However they are public sites.
 From time to time you may get the ocational virus or so, but for 
what they are they are good for shortterm storage.
Sendspace however of late has been giving me grief it likes to choose 
when I request a file from it, sometimes its a file but more than 
often its an html page which is not usefull.
These things are not perminant things though.
