Hi,
XNA is a very recent technology, so most available XNA games
are just demos of what you can do with it. AFAIK
XNA toolset is free for Windows PC development, if you plan to
run your games on a 360, you need to pay Microsof 100$ for one
year licence certificate. This request is done via XBox Live.
If you plan to sell your games on the PC, you don't need Microsoft
permission, but you do need it in order to sell for the 360.
If are only focus on the Windows platform, XNA is a great tool.
